It’s hard to genuinely believe that the holidays were simply a few weeks that are short! I happened to be fortunate sufficient to spend time at home in Chicago and even saw some snowfall. Many of my colleagues also traveled to other parts of California or the nation during this break for many well-deserved time with family and friends.

Us continued to read applications when we weren’t enjoying the holidays, however, many of. Every year, they tend to change from year to year after reading over 800 applications, I’ve realized that while there are trends in applications. I have been impressed with students taking the initiative to have worldwide experiences in their high school years, whether it’s by happening a service trip abroad and on occasion even spending an entire semester or year studying in a country that is foreign. Another feat that is remarkable students have accomplished is starting their particular businesses or companies. Numerous pupils be seemingly true self-starters, whether they own their own landscaping company or founding a nonprofit. We never cease to be wowed by the accomplishments of applicants before they have even graduated school that is high.

Even though it seems like I’ve read many applications, there are numerous more to see and i am sure many other styles I’ll find. In each application, I’m excited to see how the reveals that are applicant individuality. Whatever your story might be, we’re looking ahead to getting to learn you.
